Another optimizer question

Post by longbow joe »

First of all merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.
I purchased another vortex the other day ...this one was different... brand new in the box never even assembled for $250 on local craigslist.
I want to put an optimizer on it and try something out of the box for me.
I was wondering if the dial is in the way for cocking that seems to be my big wonder . Also do l need the extension with an exo series bow.
I also purchased a brand new never mounted redfield (made in Colorado) in the box 1 to 6 power scope last year l was gonna put on a 450 legend but that's another story it just seems right on the vintage vortex . Thanks for your input.

HHA makes a speed dial extension bracket . Go to HHA sports . I put mine on my axe and tried to cock it with a rope and then the charger did not get in the way. You have to put it on the crossbow and check it out . Hope this helps .

I’ve found the extension helpful with every crossbow I’ve had an Optimizer on (which virtually every crossbow I’ve owned since the Optimizer came out).

New Vortex for $250!!! Though I don’t own one, the 200# Vortex is one of my favorite xbows. I’d certainly buy one for $250!

Optimizer is releasing a new 2020 revised version soon.
I will take a look at it at the 2020 ATA.

In the email I received they noted "better and more user friendly ergonomics".
Stay tuned here after the ATA.

Wow lm gonna force myself to wait.
This vortex is cool l kinda think of it as my big lbex.
A little long and dorky but I'm used to the exo bows.
Love em.

The Vortex is just about as perfect as a bow can get. Its the bow I shot the most and kept the longest. That was a crazy price!

The gentleman bought it for his son hoping he would hunt but never used it.
It's the second vortex l bought this year for pennies on the dollar.
