Remembering Kayla

Post by Species8472 »

Some may remember a few years back as a community we helped young Kayla raise money for Cancer research. One of the ways we did that was an auction for a custom 380 donated by Xcal. I was the lucky one that ended up with that bow and though I don't typically hunt with it i did make a point to take it out once per year in her memory. Well 2 years ago i was hit head on on the highway and the bow was in the back seat at the time. The bow survived fine but the scope would no longer hold zero so the last 2 years i have not taken it out. Well finally got around to replacing the optics last weekend and managed to sneak out for the hunt yesterday:

No deer seen but a very enjoyable quiet few hours.

RIP Kayla.

To make up for the missed years I think i am going to try again with the bow on New Year's Eve.

Good luck with the hunt, and RIP Kayla.
