Thinking about the Axe

Post by Dominic »

Hi guys,
I think about to buy a new bow. I still have the Short308 and the Micro355, but now i think about the Axe340 is there any advantage i would have ? I am only a target shooter. The 308 is a very easy bow for me and i can cock it all day. The 355 is an other thing, after 50 arrows a day it is enough for me. I don't want a crank. My C2 i have soled. Is the 340 worth the money? The difference are only 10lbs. Worth?
Greetings from Germany!
Thank you

I have a axe, it's a great bow. It's not as hard to cock as a 355, but it's also not that far behind it. I also have a custom 345, and the axe is a little harder to cock than it is. So if you are looking for easy, the axe is not really an all day bow. The 315 or 308 are the all day sweet spot

With that said, the axe is so nicely balanced. It is truly nice to shoot, and would probably make all day shooting more pleasant than the 355 in feel alone.

I have the axe I also have the 308 short which I use as a back up and will be turkey hunting with it . I got the axe 340 when it first came out and I have no regrets at all it is a tack driver . I feel the price is where most people can afford it and not brake the bank. I got the charger exp crank . I have been known to shoot the axe for hours on end . The first animal I took with the axe was a 350 plus pound Russian boar .

I had to get an Axe, and it is my favorite hunting bow. Very nice to handle in a blind, or in a stand, well balanced, and Excalibur Accuracy is it's DNA. I agree with all the former comments also.

I have the axe. I got the Kryptek Raid, it came with the silencing kit and it is a tack driver. My last Excalibur was an Exocet 200 which was very accurate too. I like the fact that the axe is much better for shooting from a treestand or a ground blind with the compact size of the limbs, cocking is okay but for all day shooting I use the charger crank

As much as I like my Exomax it is a chore to still hunt with. My arms are always a little longer when I get back to the truck!!

The Axe looks like a very good crossbow to complement the Exomax.
