Large stirrup

Post by canoe13 »

I am thinking of installing the larger stirrup on my BD 360.
So wondering any problems with them? Any definite advantages other than easier winter boot fit. Quieter maybe?

What you said plus, it allows me to use a longer arrow by about an inch or so.

Nothing you would notice on a Bd360, but on a taller bow you are adding an inch and a bit to the height you need to cock the bow. Assuming you haven't already shortened your cocking rope, you could find yourself out of height

Otherwise they are a great idea, especially in big boot season

I wear a size 13 and when later season wearing an insulated PacBoot it's a BIG boot and I was having a hard time keeping the toe end of my boot in the regular stirrup.

I was getting concerned I'd knock out teeth if the toe slipped out when I was cocking the bow.

I moved to the bigfoot stirrup and was pleasantly surprised (because upon initial observation it's longer but not wider) my boot now fit great, I'm very happy with the result.

I've got one on my BD400 and Matrix 405 and have no other issues and I have the airbrakes on both with no interference.
