Triggers

Post by Phillyarcher »

Looking to upgrade my trigger in my 335 micro. What’s the pros and cons on Triiger Tech compared to Pro Shot ACP from Excalibur. I see the Trigger Tech is less money then the Pro Shot. I would be just hunting with my Xbox.

Triggers are subjective. You'll get all kinds of responses.
Personally, I was having serving separation issue with my triggertechs on my higher pound micros. For that reason, I'll be buying ACPs from now on, they are also selectable between single and 2 stage.

I did a back to back write up over a few nights some time last year, see below.I figured so many people have opinions without using one or the other, I have three triggers(ACP, TT2S and TTsingle, as well as factory and Boo trigger available as well.) in front of me and almost every configuration of micro available, with the same string and setup for continuity.

Have a read, you'll see that my actually findings are as unbiased as I could be, it's not worth replacing a TT with the ACP, but from factory to upgrade, ACP covers all options nicely But with that said, I do appreciate the ACP for the reasons above .

ACP all the way!

I have to say my Micro 335 nightmare trigger is the best out of the 20 or so excalibur I have owned. And no it's not for sale yet!!! Lol

I am a TT guy. Custom that is.

BUT I would be right interested in your thoughts on this one after you've had a little time to play with it Please!

Thanks!

I have TT in all but one of my Excalibur's and have to say that if the Axe trigger is any indication of how good the ACP trigger is, I need one! :eusa-popcorn:

The TT currently in there is single stage. I picked up an ACP for a great price from a local retailer for boxing day. I very much prefer 2 stage, that's all. It was either that or a Supressor400, I chose to sleep in my own bed.

The TT in my 345 micro is a 2 stage and it's a great trigger.

That's a great reason if that's what you like. I like both, but prefer single.

The ACP trigger that I got still had creep in it! I also don’t like the painted trigger lever that can’t be replaced. If and it will start to lose the paint, you’re stuck with that trigger because of the fact that the lever can’t be replaced. I prefer my trigger to break clean as glass and the ACP didn’t do that. Besides pros and cons are purely personal and not a hard fact for everyone! The only true pro and con is to buy both and return the one that you don’t like.

I’ve also had a few stock triggers that I polished the fork and trigger which was just as good as a TT trigger! It’s a hit and miss with stock triggers too. Most hunters won’t notice much of a difference. I know for me, I shoot my bows a lot! I want a crisp and clean trigger is all. 👍
