Mixing limbs

Post by dithian »

Now that I've gone through two sets of limbs on my Micro 335, can I take the two unbroken limbs I have and use them as a spare set? Excalibur told me to toss the old limb sets, but I'm not a …ahem… tosser. Is there any danger to doing this?

I would not keep them I would do what they told you to do toss them. I have a set that came with a new riser for my axe that were mix matched I put a back up set on that matched and am getting a new back up set from them and am tossing the mixed match set. Reason the mix match could do the Crossbow harm it won't preform the way it should .

If the numbers match or within 5 you can use them for a backup pair of limbs. Good luck!

I think you meant to say .5 as in 100.5. Correct?

Nothing bad will come from mixing the limbs. Try them and see how they shoot. I have had limbs with nothing written on them with no change of poi whatsoever

If I were you I would ask them at excal. I did as I had 2 spare limbs. I didn't keep the email so I don't want to give incorrect info they didn't really recommend it but did mention as was said about being within so many numbers or the same lot I believe you could try them and see how they worked .

He's talking about the two limbs he has that did not crack . If he chose to keep the two good limbs that's his perogative.
If he puts them on, and the numbers don't match up, the worst thing that would happen is the tiller could be off and it won't shoot as well.
There is no harm or danger in trying them at all.

On the other hand it could be the best matching set that lasts forever :eusa-think:

Thanks for all your feedback. I'll give it a shot, no pun intended. Now I have to remember where I put that other limb…
