I purchased another hundred year old gun .lts a h&r 1900 12guage single shot
I patterned it the other day with hevishot blends and was totally impressed with the patterns
The gun has a rear notch almost like a rifle making aming a breeze.
I have 2 Turkey tags thinking of using the second with the shotgun if l get lucky with the crossbow.
I love these old guns .
I would love to make my old friend that l bought it off of happy with a Turkey kill.

Beautiful, cool shotgun! It makes me want to look around to see if I can find one just like it. I have a 410 H@R Topper that I love. It brings to mind my days of hunting rabbits and quail with a single shot shotgun when I would carry a shell in my left hand for a follow up shot, if needed. I hope we see a picture of a dead gobbler next to your shotgun in a couple of months!

The old fellow l bought it from is from the "pre hunting season days" of when you went out and shot something because your mom needed meat.people shot hawks too. Told me about the first deer "season" and how people hated the game commission for its rules.
I enjoy his stories of pheasants literally everywhere...
...if the gun could talk it would have a lot to say

My first duck hunts were with a single shot 20ga and I eventually graduated up to a Stevens 12ga side by side. There's nothing more enjoyable than filling a bag limit one shot at a time. You pay a lot more attention to aiming when you only get one. Nice old gun you have there. Good luck dusting a turkey with it in the spring.
