I know nothing about this store but it seems the way of the future. Small local hunting and fishing businesses closing everywhere. When I was a much younger man/boy I could go into any local general store and buy fishing hooks, spinners, a variety of rifle and shotgun ammo. You might have been able to buy a rifle or shotgun.
Locally I can only buy a few shells and a some what reasonable supply of fishing gear certainly not high end equipment from Canadian tire. The area I live has about 160,000 population. I have to drive a minimum of 1.5 hours one way to arrive to a mediocre stocked Bass Pro or mail order everything. Seems like the Canadian gun control has put all those little places out of business.
Sadly it has become popular to fish and hunt using an app on one's phone.

That’s a real shame. Hard to keep these going these days.

They announced their closing back in December so it’s not because of Covid-19. They were going to have a huge in store clearance event that had to be postponed because of Covid-19.

The owner Barry passed away from cancer a while ago. Tom, who was Barry's right hand man tried to buy the business from Barry's wife and they could not come to an agreement. I assume the assets will be sold off in the near future if it hasn't happened already.
Barry was a good guy, may he rest in peace.

Since the store had to be closed to customers they are selling the bows and stuff online . I knew the owner had passed a while back and I kinda had the feeling they were not doing well as I got a dead zone warranty replacement scope from them and it was not new looked like something they had setting on a shelve threw it in a box and sent it was not even the same model scope had to contact Excalibur and sent that to a warranty depot in MI . It's just sad when the lack of interest or other issues show up . My wife just ordered a vert bow from them at a good price .
