Axe brace height

Post by canoe13 »

I bought this used Axe. Did not need it. Own a bunch of bows. but I love it. Probably be my "go to bow" in the fall.
I have no owners manual so was wondering what is the recommended brace height. I am slightly off the bumpers but I want to know the actual measurement should be from the riser/rail joint. Thanks

I keep my Micro string 1/4" from the factory bumpers.

I use the dBkiller bumpers, using them requires the string to lay on the bumpers, it's about where Boo has his, but these bumpers are 3/16" longer than stock bumpers. I used the stock bumpers to set brace at 1/8" gap, then put the new bumpers on. Every once in while I add a twist in the string, and if I notice a slight bow in the string, I'm good to go.
