When I first saw it I saw Cougar for sure, black tip, long tail, flat back low stance.

Then I saw a yote. But yotes have that arched back and are not flat on top.

It's definitely not a Moose. I'm sure if that.

about 25 years ago there was a lot of complaints from insurance companies about deer/vehicle collisions, later I heard from some friends in southern Ill. they were seeing more big cats and black bears but the state denied everything, plus there is no open season on either, go figure.
