Excalibur Stringer

Post by bigbowman »

Excalibur New #2097 Stringing Aid has a larger paracord material for the string now. I couldn’t find a plastic tube to fit it. So thanks to Don’s instructional video for serving strings I was able to serve the new stringing aid! Turned out awesome and it will NOT fray at all now! I think it’s better than the plastic tube too. You can see the difference between the two.

I always thought that the plastic sleeve was "in the way". Never used it.

I wonder if that thicker cord would work better on the Axe? I tried re-stringing an Axe yesterday and the cord kept slipping at the adjustment side of the stringer. I've used this same stringer on the Micro 360TD, Matrix 380, and BD400 bows and never had it slip before. I ended up tying a knot to keep it from slipping so I could finish the job.

I used it to change a string on my Matrix 355 and the rope never slipped once! It’s definitely better and stronger than the older stringing aid! 👍
