Axe on sale at Wyvern

Post by Hatchet »

Wyvern Creations is having a sale on the Excalibur Axe $499 delivered. I ordered one on Saturday and it was here today. I installed a Twilight Deluxe scope off my retired compound crossbow and sighted it in. Like my other Axe I purchased last fall it is a sweet little crossbow. After putting a few arrows in the bullseye I headed to the blind for an evening sit. Kinda windy and cold here today but at least it isn't snowing.
Take care

Do you know if you put the cheekpiece on can you use the new charger crank or does it get in the way? I use the rope cocker with my 330 matrix but am not sure if I need the crank or not Thanks!

If you were to put an Axe right next to a 360TD, you'd see that the stock and rail are exactly the same in dimensions. The only difference is how the riser attaches. The string sits further back on the Axe because of the shorter power stroke, the 360TD uses more of the rail. But otherwise they look identical, if one wasn't in Kryptek and the other was in Mossy Oak.

Let me know what you think of the charger crank. I am thinking of getting one so my wife could use one of the Axes during this years archery season. This will be Maine's first year allowing crossbows during archery season. It would also come in handy when target shooting. After I rope cock this crossbow 8 or 10 times I feel it in my lower back for a few days. I got a half dozen of Wyvern's Dragon Claw Arrows and have been very impressed with them.

The Charger EXT crank is very nice, makes cranking the Axe very easy. I think it is something like 12 pounds to crank. I have 3 of them, one for each of the micro bows. I can pull the rope on the Axe, but after a couple of times the body starts to say "Hey, there better be a beer after all of this!"

I got the charger and had 3 crossbows all I had to get was the mounting brackets which Wyvern sells . I also shoot the Dragon claw and am impressed.

Congrats on your purchase, the charger crank is the bridge between shooting the Axe & enjoying shooting the Axe.  Most achieve better than 340 FPS, and i have had no issues, and have heard of just a few, so you're in great shape now!

Congrats to you too. :eusa-shhh:
