This may help. I shortened my cocking rope so that I have to pull up on the string about 8" to set the 2nd hook on my Equinox. I have no knowledge of the drsturrip.

I gave it a try and could not get used to it. I had it on a Micro. It does make the effort easier, but for me it seems uncomfortable. I gave it to a friend. I would get a crank instead, but it has to be the older version.
Good luck with your decision.

Re: drsturrip on a equinox?
There is no way to tell you if it will work for you. It really does give you a few inches of reach. You can easily add 4 or 5 inches (or even more depending on your strength) of reach by shortening the rope cocker. All this may help you but no one will know except you. How tall are you?

Re: drsturrip on a equinox?
Agreed
Have went with the C2Crank.
My back has been grateful ever since.
Only wish the C2 crank handle was quick release detachable like the Charger.
I am 5' 7" when I was younger could muscle the Equinox with a little effort and shorten draw string.
But after long shooting sessions my back always told me there is going to be price to pay sooner than later.
Time caught up to me and had to chose sell bow / give up shooting or use a crank.
After some practise with the crank it became quite clear should have adopted it's use much sooner.
Added a little time to each shoot over hand drawing.
But that has it's benefits - more the time between shots helped avoid developing poor shooting habits.
