Shortages

I had no clue this was happening as I live in the boons and rarely leave except church on Sunday.
A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to fence in an area of fruit trees 100 ft on a side, to keep deer away. Had to order the fence: 6' high Red Brand twisted construction, not welded. Putting the corner and bracing in I realized I was going to be 6 posts short. Shocked to find none available. "Nationwide shortage" they said. Then tried to buy 8' t-posts... no joy. Finally got everything I need to complete the project, but drove to 3 different towns to get scabby-looking 4x4s I normally would pass up. Just fence posts, so I bought em and was glad to get em. I had no idea this was going on! A real shocking wakeup call!
