The killer Shrew

Post by flinthead »

Since the board is back up and running, I figured a tribute to our favorite little bow was in order... the Vixen.

For the last year or so I have been shooting an Equinox, much to the dismay of my lower back, and it’s a great bow.

So with my little Vixen II collecting dust and my back feeling worse, I decided to get her out and put on a brand new flemish string.

Oh boy does this bow cock easy... and man is this bow accurate. With the new string I’m getting 270 FPS with a 420 grain arrow... then I said to myself... what more do I need out of a hunting bow?

She is light, compact, fast, and quiet. She will be my hunting bow this year... I call her... the killer Shrew!

Why do we tend to think of items as feminine!

I've even caught myself occasionally calling something old girl or gal . Or refer to it as "her" "she" etc.

I rarely give them a name though .

Yes. Glad to see the forum up and running !

Hard to see it as anything other then feminine when named Vixen. Not sure if that was a marketing plan back in the day to attract new shooters

I would think the pink vixen would be female and the camo one male.
Just my thinking
My pink Vixen is called The pink pickle so it could be an IT
