What to buy when you have bad shoulders
Guys/Gals, it’s been a very long time since I’ve been here, last time is when I ordered new strings from Boo for my Vortex. Long story short, I’ve had two shoulder surgeries and still have issues with one, but I need to get me and my bow back in the woods this fall. So the question is, do I buy a new Assassin 360 or is there a better option out there. I know this is a loaded question but would appreciate any input for this group.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Personally, I'd buy a MAG340 and a charger cranks and be set for the rest of your life

You can get a crank for your Vortex or for any other current bow. Anything without a built-in crank will be lighter to carry or shoulder. The Mag is going to be lighter in the front end because of the lower mass in the riser so easier on your shoulders. A 315 is very light but no longer produced but I'm guessing that you don't want to go backwards in speed.

Keep the Vortex and buy a C-2 crank.

Re: What to buy when you have bad shoulders
I'll agree with BOO, the 315 is all I need as it proved it's worth last year for me. My recent purchase this year of an Axiom was mostly as I have a son and 2 grandsons who hunt and are using my crossbows.
P.S. I had shoulder surgery last year on right side and am proudly using cranks, have a charger crank on the 315 and a c2 on the matrix. the Axiom pulls easy for me right now tho. a lot depends on what your looking for, a powerhouse is the 380,(same effort as the micro 315), but the micros are smaller and easier to maneuver.

..... if you are looking to save money, then get the crank for your Vortex... if you want Christmas in August... pull the plug on the new MAG340 w a crank...you will not be disappointed....I love mine and would take the MAG340 over the Assassins any day !

An Axe 340 or a Vixen II with a cranking aid.
Even with bad shoulders the vixen may be doable without an aid.

.....you have learned this wise sage advice at a very young age (57) that speed is overrated and should not be chased ....me, on the other hand took more years (62) to come to the same conclusion.georgiaboy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 8:07 pmAn Axe 340 or a Vixen II with a cranking aid.

Re: What to buy when you have bad shoulders
Thanks to everyone that responded. Step 1, I will buy that crank for my Vortex as I’ve barely have any string time on the new Boo string. Step 2, time for some research on the Mag340 as Xmas in August is always . Thanks again
