Suggestions for excalibur next model

Post by Ankh »

I would like to see a micro take down, adjustable stock, great trigger, "cockable", with good scope. Willing to sacrifice speed for cockability/longevity. My 335 and Axiom have passed through every deer I've hit (all shots within 35 yards). What does everyone else think excalibur should make?
Micro 335 nightmare, Axiom
Swhacker 150 grain, zombie slayers
Wants: micro ultra lite, adj. stock, take down, good trigger, good scope , low 300 speed to keep "cockable" w/out crank

Well, I'd like to see a small, light-framed, bone-bashing recurve about 25" wide that will shoot a 460 grain arrow around 312 fps. Maybe call it "Thudd the Thumper" or "Micro" or something.
Oh wait..... I've got one!

As said many times....
A true ultralite skeltonized model made literally as light as possible in about 310 - fps also small but easy enough that a cranker is not needed (that would defeat the purpose)
Carbon fiber? Whatever titanium fasteners ,machined to the bear minimum...why not try it no one has accomplished this.
Instead of the speed quest why no give a far walking hunter something that they might find useful.
Then brag about its weight rather than 100 yard accuracy!
Vixen 2, metal ibex,Phoenix, sapphire, matrix 330 ,matrix 355 ,vortex and baby grand piano y25 relayer.
Trigger tecs, leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.

Yep. Something like the gearhead bows ..maby that's even too drastic lol.
But yes.
I assume a crossbow needs a little weight behind it for hand shock but seems like we could easily shave a pound or more off basically every excalibur bow l own .
I often want to do it myself.

I would like to see a new ALL Black Micro 3" less in width shooting 325fps. That would be a sweet bow! 👍

I would purchase an excalibur ultralite if it existed and brag about it to her. Probably take by our bed a few nights to welcome it to our home and make her jealous

An ultralight is starting to sound like a necessity. I am going to start putting my crossbows where she won't be able to count em. Gonna hide the Excalibur boxes too. And then when the new bows come out if one should catch my eye I could add it to the collection. Sign me up for an ultralight...or two?
