Needed another machete so this camilus carnivore
Got pretty good reviews its really beefy with a nasty saw on the spine .
Only 18 inches overall comes with a little baby knife in the pouch also ....I'm liking it 35 bucks!!!
Looks scary and is scary sharp too.

I have a few other brands, not terribly happy, that looks like a good one! Let us know how you like it Joe.

Re: Machete time
I’ve bought and used a few. The best one I’ve had is made in Brazil. Does it have good weight to it Dan?

Re: Machete time
Not really in my opinion. There were two choices from Gerber, and I took the longer one at 20” blade length, it’s just ok. The back of the blade is for sawing and that part is great.

Re: Machete time
It's made in china of course the handle is full tang.Handle is kinda hard plastic very hard . If this had the gerber gator handle l would like it better. no complaints it was 35 bucks.
I prefer the gerber better for swiping brush .. thinner blade is better for that. I will use it for sure.

Re: Machete time
I have followed this one through the woods and it's a thing of beauty. And the first line in the description pretty much described the Gerber machetes I wouldn't pay the cost I can get them at.

I shouldn't knock Gerber, they hit it out of the park with their "Apple banana pear" flavour.

Re: Machete time
I got the exact same one the only thing I don’t like and I’m being fussy is the handle it’s doesn’t grip in my hands very good. I have to use rubber mechanic’s gloves.

Re: Machete time
Take a roll of tape. Pull out a few feet and spin the hanging roll making something similar to a rope with the sticky side out. Wrap the handle diagonally and you’ll have a decent grip.

Re: Machete time
I dip my way plastic handles like that in my favorite stuff called PlastiDip! It dries with a hard rubber feeling to the grip. I love the stuff and it makes excellent grips! Good luck!
