Newbie here...love the site...Quick question...

Post by RazorBuck »

Hi everyone,

I have picked up a Bulldog 440 and love it so far! I never thought about it much but with all the take down models now touting their ability to hold accuracy despite being taken down between hunts, does anyone anyone treat their non-td bow like a take-down bow and disassemble their bow using the one bolt attaching the limb system to the mainframe between hunts. If so, does it maintain accuracy? I plan to test it because it's super easy and thought I would ask if anyone else does this without having to sight in every time. This would allow me to use the explore case which makes transporting between shoots super easy.

Thanks,

Buck

Removing the riser limb assembly from the mainframe has no bearing on the scope setting. I have verified this many times. In the past I have flown with my Excalibur by removing the riser limb assembly then wrapping my crossbow in my hunting clothing, then into my wheeled duffel luggage.
All good on arrival.

I'm with Norm, my Axe lives in a Take down case. As well I'm transporting my micro 345 this weekend with the riser Removed. These bows are so consistent they are boring

Thanks again. I jumped from a Axiom SMF to the Bulldog 440 so I made quite the speed leap. The Axiom has been bulletproof!

I have owned my micro 335 for a couple of years now.

I haven't removed the front end yet and won't unless I'm packing it for a flight... lol

The design to have the location set with the machining makes them all go back together and provide the same accuracy. The take down models just make it quicker and easier to align the parts.
Welcome to the group, lots of great folks here!

The only flying l would be doing would be without a safety belt and l hope that dont happen.
I could see a takedown being useful to hide multiple crossbow purchase's from your wife also such as hiding one under a bed.

Anyway welcome to the site feel free to post a picture of any game big or small or ask any question too. Lbj.
