Missed a Hunting Day

Post by xcaliber »

Woke up, got showered, ate, took meds, headed out. Got about 80% there and felt horrible. Pulled over, checked blood sugar, low as heck. Took sugar tablets, drove rest of the way. Sugar dropped again, took more tablets, ate some jerkey, and a banana. Then I drove home. Going to try again in the morning. I will reduce my medication by 30% and hope for the best, I don't like hunting alone, the Kid is up in Wisconsin hunting until Monday evening.

Keep the pics. & stories coming folks, and good luck! :eusa-popcorn:

Sorry to hear dan . But that was smart of you for sure.

Wonder what would've happened if you downed a tastykake butterscotch krimpet.
No worries lots a hunting time left. Consider it a practice run.

Got up Sunday, it was raining, went back to sleep, went out this morning, and it worked out great. Thanks folks, and yes Boo, diabetes sucks! My entire daily routine is dependent on what blood sugar these days, but I'm going to keep kicking as hard as I can!
