Buck Down!

Post by tremps01 » Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:03 pm

Last friday I harvested this three and half years old Moose. I was calling since 2 hours imitating cow call who looks for a buck. All of a sudden I saw a Moose walking behind a bush at 500 yards he was too far from me to heard him calling so I needed my binocular to confirm that he had a rack YES!. He was walking in the way to catch the wind from me. Quickly I did an estrus call female to have his attention, He stop, I did an other call and he headed in a clearing in my direction. He stopped 5 times and I did the same call. at hundred yards he turn 90 % to catch the wind he wanted to confirm that I'm a cow! That's gave me a perfect broadside shot. He crashed in is track. What a feeling!
Tomorrow morning I'll be driving 400 km to Deer hunting at Gaston's property.

Congratulations again Marcel! When you go to Gaston’s place do me a favour and poop at the gate of his hunting property for me. Tell him it is from me!
