Trailblazer broadheads

Post by Tekhanto »

The talk about these is they are made for the fast crossbows....
Opinions if you think these are too much for a ole Axiom ???

You will be fine on a broadside or quartering away shot under 30 y, just don't take a quartering to shot in the shoulder with that setup.

It's not that the talk about these is for fast bows, it's that fast bows are generally harder on broadheads. Tuning and keeping them closed on the shot gets harder the faster the launch. So if it works for a fast bow it'll work for a moderate speed bow as well. I assume you are asking about having enough energy to open the blades. You'll be just fine

I tested them fairly extensively with a 420TD, micro370, and 345. Even after repeated hits into a Reinhardt target, they never opened. I actually shot the 420 last to see if it would open.
I will also add that they spin absolutely true for all 9 of my sample heads.
They are a winner in every aspect of shooting. However I have yet to test them on a deer. But the X-act was a proven winner, so I expect no different. Your Axiom will have no issues with these heads.

Try a Ramcat. I have always had very good blood trails with them.

Another good option is a 4 blade Slick Trick.

With a fixed blade that flies true you won't even have to concern yourself about blades opening. Blood trails with the Ramcat are pretty amazing, IMO.

I always go heavy. 110gr brass insert and a 125gr BH.

Ramcat 125 leaves a helluva hole, and fly really really well.....I think due to the scooped out ferrule.

Their "toughness" is not as good as I wish it was but the terminal performance is really good.

I put one clean through the bison in my avatar pic from 30yds with my Micro. About a 500 gr arrow

Getting pricey for 3 broad heads.

$55.00 plus tax and shipping for the tb's... ouch!!

The Truglo Titanium X 4 blade even though it is a mechanical it is a great broadhead that you won't have to worry about blades opening also, they are very accurate and very strong you can practice with one over and over in a broadhead target to sight your crossbow in with no damage at all to the broadhead. These broadheads are very popular right now and I can speak from experience they leave great blood trails with a well placed shot.

Accuracy? Different POI than field points? Blade opening problems? Not trying to challenge you, just curious . I bought some but haven't tried them yet.

I had blades get ripped off had the blades pull the pin through the side of the farrel. Janesy was sent those pictures. Having to have to replace the cushion every time so little practice with them .

I did see the pics, yes. I forgot to follow up Dale, did you contact Innerloc about them? I met them all this past January. Super nice folks.

The hunting marketing machine in the US alone runs on rocket fuel. There is no competition, the pie is so big they all get a seconds. Or so it seams
