It has started

Post by W.Miguire »

yes it has started on the Island . Woke up this morning and found my Glen Dale target laying on the ground with the head torn off. and the rest nocked down , Also I have a doe decoy I use for yard art and she was laying on the ground. My guess is it is time to start using decoys.

That's awesome! Your deer actually come and tell you when they are ready to be hunted! I love it

That's great maybe you can get of those bucks. I usually have a couple of my 3D deer decoys get knocked down also around the 1st week in November every year. I put a camera watching one of my doe decoys a few years back and got several pictures of a rut crazed 6 pt buck trying mount and ride my decoy, I still have that picture it is priceless.

Recent cool weather has them going around here in TN as well. Just this morning the wife and I seen a 6 pointer, soon followed by a 4 pointer, and then
we seen a yearling button buck trying to shadow kick, rub, and fight with a recent rub on the base of a small Magnolia tree and it was comical.
My wife isnt happy about their attraction to her Magnolia.

I nearly ran over a small 8 point this morning leaving my house, he was trailing a doe pretty close!

Nice pics Brian.
