Bulldog 440
Thinking of getting a new crossbow. I currently have the mega 405. Any problems with the 440? Is it worth the money to upgrade for the new trigger and scope? I will be using the same 20 inch zombie slayer bolts with 110 grain inserts to absorb some of the energy. Thanks
Re: Bulldog 440
That is a difficult question to answer. I have both and can tell you that the 440 is kinda rude and begs for a Flemish string and a heavy arrow. I haven’t shot it much (got busy). I am using a 21” arrow with a 110 gr insert and will move up to a 125 or 150 gr broadhead. I also have a set screw in the rear plastic nock to simulate a Lumenok.

I use the flat aluminum with set screws in them to match weight, but would like to do the same with plastic.

Don,
Are you using the loner arrow for flight stability and accuracy or mostly for the additional weight?

Re: Bulldog 440
Only for weight reasons. I’ll probably build some concept arrows for the 440 when I have time.
