A stick bow hunters best friend...l remember when they were 3 bucks!
When l was 12 you could buy a bear archery dozen pack of premium cedar arrows ....beautiful cresting and laquer finish with bear razorheads attached for 12 bucks
For my 40 pound cravata bros. Black hawk 52" avenger.
I also had a sweetheart 60" black hawk scorpion at 35 pounds.
I killed about 10 doe and 6 smaller bucks with that 35 pound bow.
Found every one of them most past thru.
They were made in Pennsylvania the Blackhawk bows.

Recurve or longbow I love the sound of a well released arrow. After shooting both as well as compounds I decided to see how difficult it is to make an efficient all wood bow. I know have 16 bows of oak maple ipe bamboo and hickory. My 66in hickory longbow at 55lb is my favorite with a homemade arrow and flintknapped arrowhead I know it will get the job done.

I've spent enough money on stickbows to buy Excalibur back from Bowtech... :wtf: :wtf:

Always looking for that perfect shooter!!

I guess the best bow I ever owned was a Schafer Silvertip recurve... walnut riser with the checkered grip and old school camo limbs... 60" #59 @ 28"
Vixen II
Ibex
Vortex
Swhacker Broadheads

I had a Silvertip awsome bow....if it was good for the wensels it was good enough for me.
I still couldn't take the limb slap of it..longbow is for me.
I shot a longbow made by rancho safari or sold by them one time that a friend had..l literally couldn't miss with it .l should have bought one of em.l pretty much settled in with the savanna.l have actually missed deer and got away with a second shot a few times because the longbow was that quiet you can't do that with a slapping recurve that sounds as loud as an excalibur micro series....lolol
