Finally shot a buck

Post by longbow joe »

Tuesday night l promised my old friend down the street l would help him move some furniture around because he got a new rug but he insisted that l go hunting first and ..well do it after dark when l get home .l was gonna give my jersey spot a try l bought a license and only killed a doe and never went back.
At dark l had the new tinks spray deer bedding spray out that smells absolutely like a pissy horse 🐎 stall that hasn't been cleaned for a while lolol.
This buck comes up behind me downwind with his nose in the air l assume that he is winding me and its all over but I'm dead wrong he is smelling this nasty foaming spray and goes right to the decoy.
Its a 20 yard quartering away shot with the vortex and swat and he went 30 yards and crashed dead as a door nail.
Now l gut him and was very pleased and all 155 pounds of me gets the 225 pounder on the truck with great difficulty..I'm exhausted...now l just want to get him to the butcher and
Help my buddy as planned.
I smashed my cell phone in the hinge of the tailgate
That was in the pocket of my bibs ...just got a new phone yesterday..boy it sucks not having a phone lol.
Sorry for the poor picture its the only one l took at dark
For my brother.
I'm gonna get him stuffed so l will have a memory forever.
