Mechanical Broadheads

Post by Guest »

I currently hunt with a compound bow, but I am going to have a chance to use a friends crossbow in a few weeks. I use Rocky Mtn mechanicals. Will they work with a crossbow, or do I need to purchase others? If I need to buy some, which ones do you recommend? Any help will be appreciated.

I use the rocky mountain snyper with exellent results till this year. I shot a nice 8 point tall and wide. the head was choked with weed seed and water from a scouting trip. I found out because the others in my quiver were all choked also. I didnt get them cleaned out and it caused the head not to completly open on impact. He was hit proper.
I did recover the deer, and would suggest making sure all mechanicals used open without any restrictions prior to use.....i wont let this happen again. I suppose it was more my fault than the head malfunctioning.
