Kodabow is Done

Post by wheelsquad »

Announcement on their homepage. Bummer.

I have never seen a Kodabow in person, but their quality build always seemed impressive, from what I could see online and heard from others.

I wasn't around during the Joe Conover days. Sounds like whoever he was made quite the rounds, I've seen that name joked about many times :eusa-popcorn:

That's unfortunate.

The crossbow buyers have spoken and are buying narrow and fast bows. Unfortunately a solid bow like kodabow isn't enough to sell bows these days...

They are an excellent bow and Chuck is a great up standing gentleman. I think he just got tired of the constant struggle in the current market.

The only kodabow I handled was at your house. Solid lifetime bow sure.

.....Don, why not buy the company so you have something to do in your retirement when you're not chasing your lovely bride around the farmstead?

.....I can see it now, the first annual "ExcalakodaBoofest" of 2025 with Paul's famous 100 yard shoot replaced by the 100 foot race using nothing but "walkers" and "canes!" ......

"Death by Bunjie" Rich & his daughter shot a Kodabow yesterday & shared it on youtube. They borrowed it from his nephew. Seems like a very accurate, solid crossbow! Narrower crossbows (even the Excalibur Micros) will most likely dominate the market.

My old one is the hands of a Coast Guard Veteran, and killing deer with no issues. It is well made, and heavy, but he is a strong young lad. Truly a great product that had to compete against very tough competition with deeper pockets. I think that their split limb design and string changing method are tops to other bows to this day. Just saying.
