Congratulations Dan! It is an awesome breed! Full of energy and highly trainable! You're going to love that dog!
I lost 2 Spaniels in the last 12 months and I'm still heartbroken. So I'm a tad envious of you! Enjoy your life with him! :eusa-dance: :eusa-clap:

Sorry to hear that Don, always painful when dogs are gone. I’m sure you stay busy with your dogs and enjoy every minute. They change the whole dynamic of the home and that’s a good thing!
Thanks folks for welcoming my buddy!

My BIL/ buddy just lost his black lab. Lola was 14 and lived a wonderful life. I remember when she jumped on my wife’s car door and put three scratches down the door, car was not even a year old. Everyone thought I was going to go nannas, but nope. As a dog owner you have to teach them manners as well as other things. She was a big sweetie in my heart.

Good looking dog!

Lost my Bloodhound in Feb. Still have my purebred Beagle and Beagle/Jack Russel. When them two are gone all I want is a "Pocket Beagle." Small dog I can take anywhere. :)

Well Gunther has adjusted to his new home and he’s on a mission to become the favorite pup of the neighborhood. He has everyone in his corner so spoiled is an understatement. He likes to wake me up at 4:30 am lately and does his business, then it’s play time! We were in our backyard the other day at early AM and a huge deer was eating my wife’s flowers on the other side of the house, when Gunther saw her he went crazy and woke up both neighbors! He’s a keeper!

Gunther has found his voice, growls at anything he sees outside of the windows and barks at anything approaching his home. We’re planning to introduce him to our kids dogs this weekend, hope it goes well. One is a 6 year old golden doodle the other is a 4 year old French Bulldog, those two do not get along very well. :eusa-popcorn:

Because we live on a farm away from anybody during COVID-19, our youngest Malinois is poorly socialized. She barks and snarls with her mouth drooling and foaming at everyone at 2 yrs old. It is so bad that some people will not get out of their cars  . This is directly the result of lacking socialization with the outside world. My 4 yr old Mal is just calm and accepting of any one. The 2 yr old has nothing to relate the new experiences to. So if it were me, I'd get her out and about a lot to show her the planet she live on. Sometimes though, the barking is just telling people to come and play.
Either way, have fun!

We’re trying to make sure he’s a cuddly puppy and dog. His social skills in my opinion are pretty good for a pup. He surprised me again today, I put up a 30” tall pen, and he climbed out the second time I used it. I thought the first time I didn’t put him in it, the second time I became suspicious. I busted him on video. I’ll get that up tomorrow. This pup is smarter than I thought. :eusa-think:

Hahaha! What a handful! I had a Spaniel that used to climb chain link fences. Creep!

Great pup Dan!

We took our chocolate lab pup on the boat today. She's a natural swimmer! Lol

Very good pooch Jeff, we’ll see how my buddy does in about a week. Small paws but not top heavy, I’m hopeful!
