Hunting and Fishing the N. Woods

Post by elkaholic »

Well we've made it to EagleRiver Wi.

Rented a cottage on a river between 2 Musky lakes thru Sept.

Caught a couple pike and bass off the private dock. Getting Brother in laws boat soon.

Looking forward to see how much tree thinning got done on the hunting 90. Heard we have to redue a few tree stands.

Exciting summer , compared to 115 in Phx. Lol

If you can stand the deer flies it's a beautiful time to be in the North woods.
Our cabin is just a few miles West of you....

Deer Flies not real bad. Hardly any skeeters.

Raining now, just got the boat delivered. Musky time !

First official bass fishing trip.

AWESOME. caught and released at least 30 ,up to 3.5 lbs. Fishing wacky worms tossed to shore brush.
Missed at least a dozen or more that got off.

Broke my line 3 times cuz I couldn't keep them out if the bushes. All 3 were big fish. Just had a great time .
Nothing like bent rods and screaming drags to know it was bigger than normal, when they make a run.

Fished about 4 hrs. Nice cool sunny morning, with light breeze
