Exocet similar to ??

Post by lituani »

Looking at older Exocet model for $200 for buddy. Exocets have the same 200# draw as Exomag, Vortex, and Eclipse models. All four of these are 1st gen wide limbs.

I have a Vortex. What were the differences vs Exocet?

My Vortex has thumbhole stock, whereas Exocet has rifle stock.

My Vortex has REDS suppressor and dissipator bars (cannot recall if those are factory items or add-ons). Did Exocet come with those?

What other differences are there?

Might be worthwhile to convince buddy to pickup wide limb ilo Matrix as his first Excal crossbow.

The stock and the color of the limbs is basically the difference. There was a Exocet that was less than 200 lbs. The 200 pound one should be marked Exocet 200.

yes there was an earlier 175 lb. Exocet. It had a flat riser as opposed to the forward riser. Earlier still there was a carved tip Exocet. It was a 165 lb. bow and you need to shoot a Dacron string on it because of the tips. Those are all nice bows. For $200 if it is in decent shape it should be a find!

They had a 175 Exocet with a cast riser and a machined riser. For $200? Great deal! Go for It!

There also was a Exocet 165lb (introduced 2001) with "Magtips", the difference between it and the Exocet 175lb was the rail, The 165lbs rail had a 15" drawlength, the Exocet 175lbs had 15 1/2" drawlength.
