I hunt around a lot of Cedar trees. During the "off season", I store all my hunting gear in a LARGE Cedar chest. Even my boots!! About a week before deer season rolls around, I pull the gear out, hang it outside and let the wind blow thru and around it. While it's hanging I spray it with Sawyer's. (I HATE bugs!!)

The only thing I add to the recipe is ..."Evercalm". Rub it on the boot bottoms the first day. That's all. If it's hot, and I'm sweating, I will use a little Scent Killer GOLD field wipes... But that's not really going to do anything but make me feel better!!~

And lastly, I pray that the wind works in my favor!! The wind always seems to be the best "sent killer"!!   :eusa-doh:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow, What a Ride!

I would imagine that most of the odour coming from a hunter comes from your head and breath. How do you guys control it?

I believe this to be true. I gargle Listerine and use a tongue scraper for my breath. For my head, I put on a disposable shower cap on, under my hat. I’ve found this works extremely well, although it’s intolerable when it’s hot outside. You can buy a pack of a dozen shower caps in the “Ethnic Hair” section of Wally World for a dollar.

I just make sure my clothes are always washed in scent free soap. And I'm clean. Otherwise I don't go crazy any more
