Tenderoni
I had several deer come in right at dark last night... really too dark to shoot! Buuttt I did!! Cut the red light on, on my scope (for you Yankee's, that means I turned the light on ) I could make out the front leg on the deer, so I brought the center dot of the Tact-Zone up to where the front shoulder should be annnnddd WHACK!!! The deer ran off crashing though the trees and limbs. I got down from my ladder stand to find a lot of blood and very shockingly the whole insert out of the Zombie Slayer with the Rocket Meat Seeker attached and no arrow... What the crap!!! Long story short, after about 100 yards I ran out of blood and was turning around to go back to the truck and try again this morning when the flashlight hit a white belly... 20 yards to the left of where the blood stopped... it was a little Tenderoni. Oh well... as I always say... get the grease hot... these backstraps should melt in your mouth!!
BTW... the arrow was still in the deer... a pinwheel shoulder shot. I guess the hard bone impact stopped the arrow and caused the insert (not very well installed I might add) to pop out after it passed through the deer.

Good eats right there!
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

Nice job Mark!!

Hunted with a guy whose specialty was “ tenderoni’s”. He could bone one out and pack it in Large baggies in short order. So we nicknamed him…..”Ziplock”.
