TRIGGER TECH or ACP

Post by JUSTANUFF »

Getting my 308 Banshee set up and one of the items I need to decide on is the trigger. I have a TT on my Cub and really like it,but am considering the ACP for my 308. For those of you that have shot both the TT and the ACP, I am interested in your comments to help me decide which way to go!
Wish my local dealer had one set up I could try for myself, but unfortunately he doesen't.

TIA,,
Mike.

I put the ACP in my Y-25, it is a great trigger. Either one will be an improvement but I do like the ACP more.

Thanks Dan! So that's one vote for the ACP. Is it possible to elaborate a little as to why you prefer the ACP over the TT?

I feel it breaks better and a more consistent force. The safety is dead silent as well.

There must be a little variation in each ACP, because I have one in both my BD and Micro. I like the one in my BD a lot. But the one in my micro is just pretty good. It's clean and predictable, but heavier than I'd like. So I got a TT I'm going to try in it after season and sell whichever one I like less. The ACP in my brothers Micro 355 also seems to break lighter than mine.

Comparing the trigger on the wide model is probably not the best way to a good evaluation. But I’m happy with what Excalibur has done with the ACP. JMHO

Thanks for that insight wheelsquad! Interesting!

I put a proshot on my "woody" l like it a lot.
I had a triggertec eat a string with not so polished latches and once in a while the tt won't reset so l opted for something different.
Don't forget the proshot dosnt have holes tapped in as the tt for the finger.
No issues just as long you get the excalibur scope mount that accepts the bolt finger.

Well I decided to go with the Excal ACP trigger .Figure I already have a TT on my Cub,so a little variety I figured is in order. Looking forward to testing it out soon.Next up is installation of a Tact Zone scope and some DB killers. Bolts are 16.5 BE Executioners with Lumenocks . Leading the way will be Magnus Buzzcuts. Average weight is 405grns. Should do the trick!
And thanks to those who replied,I do appreciate it.

Thanks ....l love it too but as dan said...."it's like carrying a baby grand piano to your stand " I'm glad it's only a 200 yard walk .
It has become a "stand specific crossbow " it's not going into the mosquitoe swamp for the 700 yard trudge.
