So you have used the Insect Shield clothes before?robertyb wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 6:15 amI have been using it since the 1980s with no harm at all. I picked up using it from the US Military who use it at concentrations much higher than I use. I do got heavier than the recommended .005 though.
Spend those big bucks. It will last for about 6 to 10 washings IF you are lucky. I have had the treated clothes and had to start spraying them down to keep ticks off also after several washes.
It will NOT hurt you in the least if you don't bathe in it or drink it. You spray down the clothes and let them dry.
I do use the 36.8% permethrin mixed properly.

Re: Thermacell
I have found just spraying my boots and Camo Sweat Pants ( about mid thigh) seems to do the trick.
Sweat pants are on over my jeans so another layer is between my skin and the dried on spray.
And as it gets colder there is also another tight thermal layer between my legs and the my jeans.
I always wonder though about if the sweats get wet or damp does that negate the dry criteria indicated

Another brand but said it would last as long as you said and that turned out to be total BS. I just found the old shirt, It says Buzz Off - Insect Shield so I guess it is by them.nchunterkw wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 9:08 amSo you have used the Insect Shield clothes before?robertyb wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 6:15 amI have been using it since the 1980s with no harm at all.
