I have the opposite situation that DRIVES ME NUTS!!

My wife is utterly afraid of my 850 HP Shelby and she drives is gingerly with 2 eggs under the gas pedal.

Many moons ago she down shifted and punched the gas pedal at the same time resulting in severe oversteer and tinkle undies.
Said she will never punch it again.

When she drives it its the only time I see good fuel economy.

When I originally met my Lady, she had just finished beefing up her Dodge Magnum to an incredible degree (all the work was her & her Pa). That car was damn fast for it's time, and she really knew how to drive it. Scared most of my Buddies, but intrigued the hell out of me. The rest as they say is history...

Now we run a older Ford 4x4 and a PT Cruiser.
Long gone are the days of blistering around town...

Sigh...
