My brother a year younger than me was unable to hunt much this year. Early archery season the top strap on his climbing stick snapped.
He hung onto the ladder rung until it swung down and he slammed into the tree crushing his hip..
He then fell to the ground and shattered his pelvis.. he laid on the ground firing his side arm until his son came to check on him.
8 weeks no weight on his legs but he is now able to get around some with crutches.
Always check and replace any worn parts on your hunting equipment.
