Found the Escape Route

Post by ko4nrbs »

Was scouting again this morning and jumped a deer. Think it was a buck because I was following a rub line along a slough. The rubs were a combination of new and last years. The deer crossed the slough on a small land bridge and disappeared onto the peninsula. It has the slough on one side and Limestone Bay on the other. Saw fresh droppings and a couple of scrapes as well. This is an ideal funnel.

Will back out now and hunt along the corn fields where they meet the wood lots. If that doesn't work out, I will move into the woods along the slough. Found two good trees I can use my climbing tree stand in. Lots of tracks and rubs alongside the cornfield but only in two areas.

Remember, they always look bigger from the back! Just to possibly help you so you always make the right decision, the Bucks usually have antlers, and danglers!

That is exactly what got this buck killed. The rear view.
