Post by longbow joe »

Speaking of deer meat my wife and l were at the grocery last weet and our order was literally 75 dollars more for the 2 adults and 2 young lady's at our house.
I love ribeyes and steaks and they are crazy right now l might eat more deer meat this year myself.

I agree. Went to a well known butchery for some meats recently…they have prime beef where supermarkets have only “choice” beef. The butcher’s sirloin strip (I prefer over ribeye) was $40/lb 😳 don’t get me wrong…ribeye is great too but I love the texture of a well marbled sirloin.
I stuck with pork chops and sausages that trip…

These meat prices are ridiculous. Look on the bright side though, gas is down 3 cents!

Yes it does…but it’s moving forward to THEIR agenda…which is the antithesis of “most” of us…

I cannot get into politics here. :eusa-deadhorse:
Hey gas went down 2 cents on the national average. That lasted a day or two, but it went up 34 cents today. :eusa-violin:

Something I'm seeing here, in addition to higher meat prices, is that it's more difficult to run down beef or pork fat to go in hamburger and sausage. I just end up buying a boston butt or pork loin to mix in. There has been some lower quality meat as well, barely fit to eat.
