3.5" pump 12 gauge, or as my younger brother likes to call it..."The Punisher".

Congrats on the win! That's a pretty gun. When the hunting conditions are dismal (wet + below freezing), pump actions are hard to beat. I was routinely shucking shells through my pump while the autoloaders were trying to figure out why round two was seldom available.

Congrats on the win, I have the 870 Super mag. and like DuckHunt said, when shooting the 3 1/2" shells "the punisher" is an appropriate name!

Grew up shooting a 300 Weatherby Magnum with hot loads.
Still do.
This will be somewhat light in comparison.

The real punisher I own is a 4 lb single shot 12 gauge chambered in 3" mag.
That one literally hurts.

Thanks for the kind words fellas.
Still grinning...

Cheers,

I love pump guns! I've read that the Europeans hate pumps and look down their nose at them. North America is the only place that they are popular. To me, a pump says "hunting" like no other action.

Matt, my cousin had a 16 gauge Montgomery Wards single shot that would loosen molars!

The two hardest kicking shotguns I ever fired were a couple old 16 gauge single shots. I believe one may have been a Montgomery Ward model. I don't know why those 2-3/4 only 16 gauge guns were so darn offensive. I'm guessing they were fairly light which was the root of the problem.
