150 and 175 Tooth of the Arrow comparison

Some here might be interested in the new (S) SOLID Series from Tooth of The Arrow. New in 2022 TOTA now offers the 1 3/16" cut 4 blade in 100,
125 , 150 and 175 grain. The 150 version is releasing soon on their website.

The 150 grain seen next to the 175 grain version above features a fluted ferule while the 175 is a full ferule design. I expect great flight characteristics using the 150 grain tip version this spring on Ontario bear.

TOTA broadheads are machined from US Chicago sourced 11L41 steel and Machined from one piece bar stock in Minnesota then heat treated in house. No replaceable blades found here.

A correct angle 22.5 degree TOTA sharpener is offered for a factory angle trueness and works like a charm and don't break the bank. I don't see any issue re sharpening a 2 bladed fixed head , it just might be a bit extra work if your 2 bladed head doesn't have a 22.5 Deg angle. ( Sharpening tool seen in upper photo) . 150 gr L and 175 gr R side.

The 1" x 1" TOTA solid and vented line has expanded to offer more weight selection this year. Check them out.

Hats off to TOTA, a smaller handshake US broadhead company offering the most durable, well flying 4 blade heads .

I just bought two 3-packs of the 175-grain, along with the sharpener a couple weeks ago.

They only cost a few bucks more than you run-of-the-mill heads, but from the torture-test videos I’ve seen on YouTube they’re much more durable.

150-175-grain broadheads are kind of rare, but it’s the sweet spot IMO.

I already have a set of 100 grain regular vented heads and just ordered two sets of 150 grain XL solids and got a free sharpener. Can't wait to try them out.

tape some sandpaper of different grits over top. Especially to strop.
