Mag Air field report

Post by canoe13 »

When I bought my Mag Air the snow was knee deep around here and I busy working so I finally got out today to shoot it. With a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 mounted I was hitting bullseyes in no time at 25 yards. Next time I will be stretching it out to 40. What a pleasure it is to hold a crossbow that doesn't feel like an anchor. And it was so easy to rope cock. Keeping it light and simple the Romeo 5 is the best red dot sight I have ever used. To quiet the bow some I ziptied two limbsavers to the stirrup and two to the backside of the riser plus added bowjax and brush buttons to the bow string. It wasn't any louder than my other Excals.
Next fall I will be using 150 grain Tooth of the Arrow broadheads on the factory arrows for a total weight just over 400 grains. Of the dozen Excals I have owned this is my favorite.

Sig Sauer Romeo 5
Excalibur Quills
Tooth of the Arrow broadheads

Very cool! There have been a lot of people asking for this bow for many years, it should be a real good seller.

Nope. I love the Matrix 380 too much to look forward, I’m into the Exo Series as well. I do however follow two paths lately. :eusa-popcorn:
