Identify an insert?

Post by DuckHunt »

What insert is this? Not a quiz. I'd like to know.
The front is ~47 grains and the back ~63 grains for a total of 110 grains. It's aluminum and a smidge under 4.42" long.

It's not my typical insert. While it may have a little less FOC, it should help stiffen an arrow.

Jerry at South Shore Archery / Tapp Nation in Florida sells them. I might suggest calling them for more info.

I also use these from Ethics: https://ethicsarchery.com/products/ethics-archery-clean-cut-adjustable-static-insert-300-12-pk

Yep that is an insert made by Jerry to get around the patent that Dorge filed a few years back trying to keep SSA from making Double Tapp arrows.

Thanks for the info. I used Ethics inserts on my last dozen and they work great.
