Both bears taken with the swat xmag titanium head prototype. Both bears piled up in less than 40 yards with unbelievable blood trails!
Awesome Sauce!! Congrats!!

Will those broadheads become available in 125 grain?

Wondering...

A great trip for sure. Tag soup for me, but not for lack of trying, I think I did about 28 hours in the stand. But there is a season here too, so the TOTA will still get a chance this year.

The Bears on the barrels this year we're big and Wiley, likely been watching us for years.

Jeff's hit was absolutely priceless as the video shows and Norm's bear affectionately know as "the king of the swamp" was quite the brute and just a full body workout to retrieve from the bush. I arrived on scene just in time... To see the truck headlights turn on as they drove away with the bear in the bed

Anyone questioning the effectiveness of those swat heads just needs to see the devastation the create.

Big thanks again to our gracious host BigJohn, The countdown is on to Blackbear2023!

Some scenery and friends

That's a priceless trip in my opinion. Congrats to all.

Ouch! My butt hurts just thinking of 28 hours of stand time. The things we do.

Awesome having your own bear hunting land! That 260 lb bear looks heavier than that! Or are you using some kok-a-mamie metric weight? 😂😂😂

Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying a heavy digital scale. You can go ahead and remove 50 pounds off every bear you see. We have had the king of the swamp pegged at 300 for years, regrettably the scale does not lie.

No cushion required. I replaced the seat on my summit with a net, and it's very supportive and surprisingly comfortable. Not to mention it complete slides out of the way for climbing.

I don't know why Img Box sometimes orients my photo sideways , uggggg! :eusa-think: :eusa-think: :eusa-doh:

Its a real pleasure bear hunting with Chris and Jeff , you can't pay enough money to have friends like this who go the extra mile. Chris made us crackup when he jumped out og my truck and rolled up his sleeves like Arnold posing his double biceps on stage and tried to impress a full sized cow moose nearby, I think she has seen it all by now, she didn't like that much :P

For size comparison , I am 6'4" and this boar with his muzzle on the ground certainly shows his size. He is not a book bear but my trophy bear.
The scale registered 217 lb after gutting him and truthful live weight puts him at 250 to 260 lb the way I see it.

Special thanks to Scott Romero at SWAT Broadheads , he sent me a couple Titanium XMAG broadheads to field test for him. To my pleasure we did not disappoint him
Expect these heads out in Aug 22.

A big shout out to Big John who let us use his cottage. He is up to bat in late Aug for the fall bear hunt. Good luck guys

Here, this might help. At least it'll keep ya from getting neck strain trying to look at Norm's bear sideways!!
