Packs?

Post by flightattendant100 »

I am sure that this has been discussed before, but… Is there a back pack that holds a crossbow well and has room to store a bit of gear and might also have a way to attach a stool to it? I am TIRED of toting, carrying, everything in and out with me. I never had this problem when I hunted on private land, but the little public land I have access to is a carry in/carry out kind of deal. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Paul, I have an old one of these that packs a blind, stool, and tons of room for decoys, etc. Very well made, and padded where you want it. It will carry a crossbow, shotgun / rifle, or a traditional compound bow. Good luck on your search!

I don't think Gameplan exists anymore but they did make a few really good packs

Yep, those were great. Strap it to the tree to lean your back on, very nice.

I’ve used the Badlands Superday pack for about five seasons now. It’s pretty good for carrying your xbow or rifle.

I know a fellow that bought one of the Insight Crossbow packs from Midway USA.
To me the thing is huge. And fairly heavy empty. But it will carry a LOT of stuff!!
These things are pretty pricey. I think he paid around $200 for his with tax and shipping.

This is a "stock" photo of one...

It has all kinds of attachments. Pretty rugged looking.
I just carry an old Remington H20 pack that I've had for many years. I've added a carabiner here and there. It works for me! :)

However, if I had to make a long trek carrying a bunch of accouterments, I might give this Insight pack a "once over".

My Mystery Ranch PIntler does a good job for me. Lots of room for stuff and the crossbow straps to the pack with three straps. Biggest issue is remembering that I have those limbs sticking out when walking through the bush.

Cheers
