Bulldog 400

Post by Bansheeslayer »

Just picked up a new bulldog 400 and man I love this bow. Shoots crazy good form 10-40 yards. Shooting zombies 92gr inserts black eagle flat nocks blazers and 125 heads 420 grains @365fps
Brace is set to 1 13/16. Shoots this perfectly with no issues at all. Reminds me of my banshee just way faster.
My question is what broadheads won’t open in flight or with the brutal launch from this bow.
Thanks

Tact zone scope
16.5in pro flight arrows

Swats or Sever's be my pick but there are plenty to choose from.

Swat x mag will serve you well with that bow. I've been using them in my 400fps bow for a few years now with no issues and massive blood trails!!

I second SWAT, been shooting the MOAB's from multiple bows at or just below 400 with no issues.

SWAT XMAG with not open. I tested them personally over 500 fps.

If you are located in Canada there are some for sale in our Trading Post section.

Killed 2 deer with Sevr 2.0 and 1 with Sevr 1.5 out of my BD400 last year. Use the practice lock screw and you can shoot with the exact arrow/broadhead combo you hunt with. With the forward tabs of the sevr and the practice lock screw, a box stuffed with old clothes stops them easy, and stupidly easy arrow removal.

And just look that, you have the BD400 for sale ;) But yeah I can understand not wanting to use a crank, if you can still rope cock others.

If in doubt, double band your mechanicals.
