Spare limbs fitment.

Post by bigrak »

I have a back up pair for my BD400. Will they work perfectly on a Mega 405 and 420TD so I can bring them hunting as a back up ?
Thanks in advance!

I would do a fit check first. I have received some newer limbs that would NOT fit in risers they were meant for. Had to do some filing of the riser and ferrules. Kept the new/wider ones installed and held on to the older limbs as backup.

Most will fit though and you're likely to not have to do that. Would just be much better to find out in the garage vs the backcountry.

To Add to what Tyler said, they are the same vintage limbs as your 405, give or take assuming they haven't been replaced in the past couple years. Precise fitment aside, yes they will work. They would also work on your 420, however then they may need a little help getting on there as the newer 420 vintage limbs received a lot more attention in the mould.
