new string

Just replaced my string on a grzz,used #1992.Brace height calls for.75, with new string it's double that @ 1.50". I did not twist string at all,and it shoots high on left shoulder instead of vitals as with the old string. What happened?

Nothing happened.
Shoot your bow or leave it cocked in a safe place overnight ( in case children may be around ) then shoot it a few times to settle the string to the correct brace height.

Its shooting higher because the new string at 1.5" BH prestresses the limbs more adding a few fps extra speed when first installed.

Yep, and if it’s been sitting around, scopes get out of whack a bit. Shoot the snot out of it, and if you have to adjust the scope, it happens.

You should put in a few counter clockwise twists. It will help keep the serving from separating. Nothing elongates a string faster than shooting.

a few days cocked is too long, try overnight and inspect in the morning.
