Tact Zone O ring for battery turret

Post by artifact »

I don't remember ever seeing this mentioned on here, I just went to replace the battery in the scope and the thin O ring separated/broke as I was unscrewing the cap. Anyone else have that happen, does Excalibur have them, or where did you find an O ring to replace it. Probably not needed, but I would prefer to have one in place to keep moisture out.
It may be an easier item to find than I think, just wondering what others have done if they needed to replace that O ring.

Autoparts or local hardware store could probably fix you up.

My first thoughts also, will give it a shot, maybe even a plumbing supply, thanks. Just hate to run all over looking for a 25c O ring and spend $25 in gas, been there done that!

McMaster-Carr would most likely have it if none of the other places do.

OK, that was easy enough, I just called Excalibur and talked to Dawn. She offered to send a cap with the O ring installed, I told her I just needed the O ring and that they were easy to replace, should be getting 2 of them in the mail shortly.
Thank you to Dawn and Excalibur!

Don't over tighten the caps. When you feel the O-Ring squishing, that's enough. Just a tech tip from a dummy!

Thanks for the tip, that does make sense since it's a very thin O ring, will do as you suggested.
