Had 3 baldies pass in stand tonight movie night tonight don't need a carcass to deal with it was so nice just to be in stand tonight it did miracles for my brain with the blue tounge last year I'm in no hurry to shoot a doe until l feel there is a surplus in the area ....its all good l definitely got my fix tonight feeling like a lottery winner.
Good luck all!

I felt the same way. Very promising first hunt .got two steps from top of stand and saw a forkhorn 20yds away browsing .I eased into the stand and spent the next 1and1/2hours watching 2 forkies a button a doe and a nice 8pt. within 25yds.of me . Everyone gave me an easy broadside except the 8pt. Weather is pretty warm so I decided to pass.

I know the feeling Joe. I have been hunting since 9-10 when it opened here and have passed up shots at so many I lost count just having fun being out again. I finally did pull the trigger last Friday though. Then the work began.

Very nice buck congrats to you .lts always a dilemma for me we only have one buck tag so l end up passing some nice deer up and usually shoot one smaller in the end than what I pass up dosnt matter love it out here I'm praying that the deer diseases have run their course and are done for a while.
It's funny how something so simple as sitting in a tree or blind can be so rewarding l don't have much time to ride my motorcycle and go fishing but it has the same effect when you only do something part time you enjoy the limited time even more.
